Largs Thistle Football Club

Largs Thistle FC was founded in 1889 and are currently playing in the West of Scotland Premier League, the 6th Tier in the Scottish Football League pyramid.

​

Club highlights include a historic Scottish Junior Cup Final win in 1994 which was as a true "David and Goliath" match with the underdogs Theeslel from Ayrshire Division 2, playing against the mighty Glenafton FC who were widely acknowledged to be the Number One Junior side in Scotland at this time.

Many famous names have played with "Theesel" over the years with a small selection mentioned here including:

Did you know:

The historic Scottish Cup victory in 1994 raised enough eyebrows to get mention in Parliament by a special motion supported by MPs from across the United Kingdom - "That this House congratulates the players, manager, officials and supporters of Largs Thistle Football Club on winning the Scottish Junior Cup for the first time in the club's 105 year history."
